About this indicator

What it measures

Employed and unemployed people together as a percentage of the population aged 15 or older. Modeled ILO estimate.

How to interpret it

It measures participation in the labor market, including people seeking work, rather than the share holding a job.

Important limitation

ILO estimates combine reported and imputed data. Imputed observations are uncertain and unsuitable for country comparisons or rankings.

Year-on-year change compares consecutive observed years only. Percentage-based indicators show percentage-point differences; other indicators show percentage change. Missing values remain missing.
